Most couples book nine to eighteen months out. Peak Saturdays in September and October go first — if you are looking at autumn foliage, book earlier than feels necessary.
Travel is included within 60 miles of South Burlington. Beyond that it is $0.75 per mile, plus lodging past 90 miles. I have shot in Georgia and Florida and I am always happy to go further.
We shoot anyway, and it is usually better. Every venue I work at regularly has a plan I already know. Rain gives you dramatic skies, umbrellas, and pictures nobody else at that venue has.
Every camera writes to two cards at once, so a card failure costs nothing. I carry backup bodies and lenses to every wedding. And I keep a network of Vermont photographers I trust who can step in — if I genuinely could not be there, I would find you someone good and refund the difference.
It varies with the length of the day, but plan on roughly 60 to 80 finished images per hour of coverage. You get every frame worth keeping — I do not hold images back to sell later.
No. The edit is the work — the RAWs are the half-finished version of it. You get a full print release on every finished image, so you can print them anywhere, any size, forever.
Yes, and they are included from The Signature up. They are worth doing: an hour in front of a camera before the wedding is the fastest way to stop feeling awkward in front of one on the day.
